Edinburgh - one of the worlds oldest universities – has chosen one of the worlds newest water based hockey pitches for its prestigious Peffermill site. The Edinburgh venue is home of the National Hockey Academy and run by Scottish Hockey Federation. The pitch is located just three miles from Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street.

Edel Grass pitch at Youth Academy Osijek (Croatia) opened

On Saturday September 4th 2010, the new artificial turf pitch of youth academy Osijek was officially opened in a great ambiance with sunshine and live music. The finales of the national mini pitch tournament, sponsored by a national beer brewery, were played during the opening. Another part of the ceremony was a demonstration match with old and new Croatian International soccer players, all covered by national television. The opening ended with a great party with Croatian folk music.

Prestigious project for Edel Grass in Yemen

Edel Grass is selected to be turf supplier in the Abyan Stadium in Yemen. The stadium is located 40 km from Aden in Yemen with the Gulf of Aden on sight-distance in an area which is dominated by desert. The Abyan Stadium can host approx 50.000 visitors and will be one of the main stadiums were the International Gulf Soccer Tournament will be held in autumn this year.

Synthetic Turf System at Heracles Almelo once again rated excellent

During the annual inspection of Heracles Almelo’s synthetic turf system at the Polman Stadium in Almelo (the Nehterlands) a statement issued on behalf of FIFA recorded that, after two years of intensive use and professional maintenance, the system is still in excellent condition. The independent testing institute, Sports Labs Ltd of Scotland, which conducted the inspection for FIFA, is this year again impressed by the condition of the pitch and its underlying construction. It was also evident that the synthetic turf fibres are exceptionally well able to resist wear. The pitch was once again awarded a FIFA 2 Star endorsement, the highest certification in professional football.

Synthetic soccer pitch for youth community project in Paramaribo

Edel Grass supplied and installed the artificial grass for the Stibula youth community project in Paramaribo, Surinam. The pitch is part of the Suriprofs/KNVB project in the capital city of Surinam. The pitch sizes 40 x 20 and has been provided with an Edel Soccer XP Pro surface. This extremely strong fibre is a perfect solution for multifunctional use. At the start of May the pitch has been handed over to the principal.
