How would you feel playing soccer on the top of a roof in the middle of the capital of France, looking over the lights of the city of Paris, the Sacre Coeur, and the Eiffel Tower? Amazed, astonished, invincible? Well, it’s time for Le Five Paris 18 to find out, because ST Goupe together with Edel Grass realized an impressive new project for them in a spot exactly like that.
In the autumn of 2020, our much valued local contractor ST Groupe installed various mini soccer pitches on the rooftop of a multi-story parking garage in the 18th Arrondisement/Porte de la Chapelle in the north of Paris. Not only did they built 6 indoor mini pitches in the colors green, red and black – they also realized 2 outdoor soccer pitches for players to enjoy.
Edel Soccer 5 XP
An even more beautiful game of soccer than normal can now be played on multiple infill-free Edel Soccer 5 XP pitches. The Edel Soccer 5 XP system is designed for lifelong consistent play and stands out for its excellent ball behavior, robust character, and good drainage capacities. Features that come in handy on both the indoor and outdoor rooftop fields. For the Le Five project, we supplied the grass in the standard green color, but also a fire red and charcoal black version. This way, the logos of sponsoring brands Betclic and Adidas really stand out! The pitches are installed with a 27 mm pile height and a stitch rate of 17 stitches per 10 cm. The sub-bases consist of Trocellen XC5008 shock pads which guarantee safe play at all times. Of course we’ve also supplied Le Five Paris 18 with the Edel Colourful Pitch Black leisure grass for the surroundings to complete the picture.
