In October last year, we replaced the main soccer field of a big fish in a big pond in Baku, Azerbaijan. Keshla FK, two-time national champion of the Azerbaijan Premier League and winner of the Azerbaijan Cup in 2018, asked us to replace the main pitch in the ASK Arena (Shafa Stadion) with a FIFA Quality Pro soccer field. That’s something you don’t have to ask Edel Grass twice!
The field hadn’t been replaced since a long time. To meet the wishes of the club to once again have a FIFA worthy soccer field for their upcoming matches, we replaced the main soccer field with an Edel Diamondblade sand- and performance-filled soccer pitch. Diamondblade is suitable for building FIFA Quality and Quality Pro soccer fields.
Robust Edel Diamondblade
For the main field of the ASK Arena, the Edel Soccer Diamondblade 40/15 PF-Sg was the system to go with. With a pile height of 40 mm and 15 stitches per 10 cm, this surface is a robust and proven system for long-term intensive performance. After installation of the grass, the surface was filled with sand and Green SBR for extra stabilization and optimal performance. For the sub-base the Alveo Shockpad was recycled and repaired so optimal resistance and safety is secured for the upcoming years of use. This way, the chance of injuries is minimized every time the field is used.
Realistic alternative for real grass
For the performance-infill we used Green SBR. Our performance-filled artificial soccer pitches are the most realistic alternative for natural grass. The infill material we use is durable, which means our products are always as environmental-friendly as possible and meeting all regulations. With this new soccer pitch, Keshla FK is ready for all their upcoming matches!
