The larger artificial grass suppliers and contracters in The Netherlands join in an Artificial Grass Alliance to establish the circular processing of end-of-life artificial turf pitches. To do so, companies Antea Sport / Edel Grass, CSC Sport / Greenfields, Domo Sports Grass / SLG en FieldTurf Tarkett , together with GBN, a subsidiary of Strukton, form an Alliance of collaborating artificial turf suppliers and contracters. In the upcoming months GBN and the Alliance will open a processing facility for high end, transparent and circular processing of Dutch artificial turf pitches, in which also the complete flow of materials processed – from input to output – can be followed and traced.
Within the Allience all necessary means (financial, knowledge, experience and capacity) will be supported and delivered by the participating parties. The Alliance is the chaser of an initiative in which participating for the whole branche is open. The next period will be used to invite and talk to important stakeholders in and outside the sector, to investigate what a truly sector-wide cooperation should look like and how it can be established on a short term.

De grote kunstgrasleveranciers en -aannemers in Nederland slaan de handen ineen om de verwerking van end-of-life kunstgrasvelden circulair te maken. De bedrijven Antea Sport / Edel Grass, CSC Sport / Greenfields, Domo Sports Grass / SLG en FieldTurf Tarkett vormen hiertoe samen met GBN, een dochteronderneming van Strukton, een Alliantie van samenwerkende kunstgrasleveranciers en -aannemers. In de komende maanden openen GBN en de Alliantie een verwerkingsfaciliteit voor hoogwaardige, transparante en circulaire verwerking van de Nederlandse kunstgrasvelden, waarin tevens de volledige materiaalstroom – van input tot output – volgbaar en traceerbaar is.
Binnen de Alliantie worden de noodzakelijke middelen (o.a. financieel, kennis, ervaring en capaciteit) ondersteund door de deelnemende sectorpartijen. De Alliantie wordt de aanjager van een initiatief waarvan deelname voor de hele sector open is. In de komende maanden wordt het gesprek aangegaan met belangrijke stakeholders binnen en buiten de branche om te onderzoeken hoe er op korte termijn een werkelijk branche-brede samenwerking kan ontstaan.
